The Culture Problem: World / Self

We must learn a mode of conceptual activity that actively interferes with anything that would compromise or counterfeit it. A thrisp that attacks and reveals other thrisps. An idea that tears the costume off of its own kind whenever they, being parasites, masquerade as heroes or healers.

Most of us can see and sense that the cultures we find ourselves associated with are commonly dominated or directed by various forms of aggressive dogma that leverages ignorance, fear, and greed in order to perpetuate and fund its rule. Thus it is that the work of the people is often eventually turned against their lives, health and hope, apparently by their own hand. But the matter is a bit more complex than it appears.

In these cultures, which may be understood as extended relational embodiments of ideas in constellation — we regularly discover that many if not most of the results masquerade as heroes, protectors, or rescuers — in order to win converts. Too often, these converts will become the inaugural victims of the forces they themselves awakened in…
