Many of our common modern ways of knowing are based on assumptions that are either fictions of the Academy or simply wrong.

Over the past few months, I’ve experienced some profound insights orbiting the foundations of awareness, identity and the language and models we are scripted to employ to ‘understand’ them. In point of fact, however, this ‘understanding’ is backwards, and, most generally, is a kind of confused ‘overstanding’, where a model or idea comes to dominate the entire field of study, exploration and explanation.
